KIRKKONUMMI
The Elections are more than just votes – it’s about communityAs I write this on Friday, April 11, 2025, there are only two days left until election day. No candidate and no party yet knows how the election will turn out, but everyone is doing their best to ensure the best possible outcome. You see cheerful and active candidates campaigning at town squares and train stations, outside stores, in libraries, and at various events. There is laughter and joy, and you can see that happy, expectant sparkle in everyone’s eyes.
And this is exactly how elections should be! Campaigning is truly enjoyable, because you meet many local residents as well as candidates from your own and other parties. And there is a shared goal: to build a better tomorrow together, a better Kirkkonummi. For a short period of time, people give their time and energy to gain visibility in newspapers, through posters, flyers, and events.
Regardless of the outcome, I would like to personally extend a heartfelt thank you to all candidates who participated. No matter the party, your effort and dedication have been a joy to witness and be a part of. I also want to thank everyone who supported and helped in the campaigns - without you, the candidates would have been much more stressed. And finally, I warmly thank all the residents who took part in the 2025 elections and hopefully also cast their vote.
Thank you so much. Now all we can do is wait and see, the election results will be out the day after tomorrow.
